Mr. Jurusik is an Associate at Dempsey & Dempsey. The
majority of his practice is devoted to medical malpractice litigation and motor vehicle negligence. Mr. Jurusik is admitted to practice before all New York State Courts
and the United States District Court, Western District of New York. He has also appeared before the Fourth and Second Departments of the Appellate Divisions of New York
State in connection with various civil and criminal appellate matters.
Mr. Jurusik received his undergraduate degree in Political Science, with a minor in
Environmental Science, at Mercyhurst College. Mr. Jurusik went on to earn his law degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Law. After law school, Mr. Jurusik accepted a position with the Westchester County District Attorney's
Office. As an Assistant District Attorney, he was responsible for handling all facets of a criminal prosecution, from pre-arrest investigations to post-conviction
appeals. After distinguishing himself in the Local Court Division, during which Mr. Jurusik handled dozens of jury and non-jury trials, he was promoted to the
Narcotics Bureau.After four years with the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Jurusik accepted a position with Motola, Klar, Dinowitz and Carfora LLP, in New
York, NY. During that time, his practice emphasis shifted to insurance defense, with the primary focus being on the defense of personal injury claims.
Thereafter, Mr. Jurusik became associated with Damon & Morey LLP and continued to work in the realm of insurance defense, with specific concentrations on medical
malpractice, motor vehicle negligence, and police department liability.
